This role supports daily warehouse operations by performing shipping and receiving tasks, stocking and organizing inventory, and accurately scanning and labeling products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using RF scanning equipment and manual pallet jacks to move, track, and prepare materials for shipment or storage.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving duties, including unloading, loading, and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Stock shelves and storage locations accurately, ensuring products are placed in the correct areas.
• Sort packages and organize items to maintain an orderly and efficient warehouse layout.
• Pick orders accurately according to pick lists or RF scanner instructions and prepare them for packing and shipment.
• Pack boxes and orders securely, ensuring items are properly protected and labeled for transport.
• Use RF scanners and RF scan guns to scan, label, mark, and track inventory and materials throughout the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts by scanning and recording product movement and reporting discrepancies.
• Handle materials using manual pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment in a safe manner.
• Support warehouse production activities by staging, loading, and moving products as needed.
• Follow all safety guidelines while working in narrow aisles with forklifts and hand carts moving through the facility.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to support a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
• Comply with warehouse policies, including restrictions on cellphones and electronics while on the floor.

• 0–6 months of related warehouse, general labor, shipping, or stocking experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform general warehouse tasks such as shipping, receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and sorting.
• Experience using or ability to quickly learn RF scanners and RF scan guns for scanning, labeling, and inventory tracking.
• Basic material handling skills, including use of a manual pallet jack.
• Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse environment with moving equipment and narrow aisles.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to safety procedures.
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and moving products throughout the shift.

• Previous warehouse production experience is preferred.
• Experience with picking orders, packing orders, and shipping and receiving processes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with inventory processes, including counting and tracking stock levels.
• Willingness to complete forklift training and certification on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire.
• Strong attention to detail when scanning, labeling, and organizing products.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent warehouse operations.

Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move frequently in clearly defined, safety-conscious patterns. The facility enforces a no-cellphone and no-electronics policy on the warehouse floor to maintain focus and safety. Temperature conditions vary with the seasons: the warehouse is heated in the winter to around 60 degrees, and it can become very hot in the summer, with fans and water coolers placed throughout the facility to help with comfort. Team members should dress in light, breathable layers appropriate for changing temperatures. Acceptable footwear includes sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes, while open-toe shoes, sandals, flats, and heels are not permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
